Robert Allen Zimmerman, best known as Bob Dylan, was born in Duluth, Minnesota, on May 24, 1941.
Dylan’s debut album, was released in March 1962. It received little attention and just 5,000 copies were sold in its first year. Bob sold his entire song portfolio to Universal Music Publishing Group for an estimated $400 million in December 2020.
Dylan formally changed his name to Bob Dylan in 1962. He’s been in a number of significant relationships. Suze Rotolo, an artist and the daughter of American Communist Party militants, was the first.
More than 600 songs were included in the agreement, including many that are considered among the most significant literary works of the twentieth century.
Bob Dylan designed and constructed his own house in Malibu, which is regarded as one of the most stunning residences in the area.
