Season 3 of Mob Psycho 100 Has Been Officially Confirmed, and a Release Date Has Been Set
It’s not unexpected that when ‘Mob Psycho 100’ launched in 2016, anime fans were enthralled by the show.
“One Punch Man” is an anime adaptation of the manga series written and illustrated by ONE, who is also responsible for the enormously successful “One Punch Man” video game franchise.
In the anime series ‘Mob Psycho 100,’ the main character, Shigeo “Mob” Kageyama, is an eighth-grader who possesses unfathomably massive psychic abilities. Mob decides to suppress his skills after becoming aware of the possible risk that his abilities pose. The amount of power he uses to impress Tsubomi, his long-time crush, is only a fraction of his total power. An uncontrollable set of events, on the other hand, may threaten to send Mob spiraling out of control, unleashing his restrained emotions and immense strength.
In total, there are currently two seasons of the anime, and the demand for a third season continues to be strong, even two years after season 2 came to a close.
Let’s see how likely it is that ‘Mob Psycho 100’ will return for a third season.
Season 3 of Mob Psycho 100: Will There Be a Third Season?
Yes, the third season of “Mob Psycho 100” is officially underway! Studio Bones confirmed the news with the release of a new teaser trailer, which you can view at the bottom of this page.
We were already certain that the anime would return for a third season before the announcement was made official. Given the success of the anime, a third season would be a prudent investment from a business standpoint. Both seasons garnered overwhelmingly positive reviews. The first season had an 8.48 out of 10 rating on MyAnimeList, while the second season received an 8.81 rating. The anime was even included in Crunchyroll’s list of the top 25 best anime of the decade 2010. There are a large number of anime enthusiasts that would welcome the resumption of the series.
In regards to the anime’s source material, the manga series on which it is based was no longer being serialized as of December 2017. There are currently 101 chapters, which have been combined into sixteen tank-on-volume collections. It was released as part of Volume 16 in July 2018 and was the last chapter.
The numbering system used in the manga, on the other hand, is a little confusing. At the beginning of Chapter 60, ONE began to rely significantly on sub-chapters of varied page lengths to organize his thoughts. If we take this into consideration, the total number of chapters grows from 101 to 215 chapters.
If we include the sub-chapters, the first season consisted of 57 chapters, whereas the second season consisted of the first half of Chapter 92.2 and the second half of Chapter 92.2.
This leaves us with 65 chapters that have not been converted, which is enough to complete season 3.
Season 3 of Mob Psycho 100: When Will Season 3 Be Released?
Despite the fact that the third season has already been confirmed, there is currently no official release date for the season. We could, however, make an educated guess based on the schedules from the previous season’s games.
The preceding seasons were released approximately three years apart from one another.
It was broadcast from July 11, 2016, through September 27, 2016, in the first season.
The second season, which began on January 7, 2019, and ended on April 1, 2019, was released on January 7, 2019.
According to this plan, a third season will most likely air sometime in 2022 at the earliest. For the time being, these are just wild guesses. We will update this section as soon as we receive additional information.
Season 3 of Mob Psycho 100: What Is the Plot of 100 Mob Psycho Going to Be?
Season 3 of the anime version of “100 Mob Psycho” has remained mostly loyal to the source material, so fans should have a solid sense of what to expect from the third season.
One hundred and fifty-three volumes of the “100 Mob Psycho” manga by ONE have been published, and fans on Reddit have remarked that the first two seasons divided the first 12 volumes into two parts, with six volumes covered in each season. This leaves the final four volumes of the original manga, which comprise the final two full plot arcs, to be explored in the anime adaptation, which is now in development. Season 2 came to a close with the birth of the Divine Tree, which sprouted from a broccoli seed that Mob had stashed in his pocket. This was the same event that brought the “World Domination Arc” and Volume 12 to a close as well as Season 1.
Because of this, Season 3 will include episodes such as the “Divine Tree Affair,” the “Telepathy Mini-Affair,” the “??? percent Affair,” and the epilogue, among other things. In other words, viewers will witness Mob battle the Divine Tree, witness the final manifestation of his skills, which could result in yet another one of the most amazing moments in anime history, and, hopefully, come to a peaceful finish at the completion of the “100 Mob Psycho” drama.
Season 3 of Mob Psycho 100: Who Will Appear on the Show?

For the time being, there is no voice actor assigned to the job, but since season 3 has already been announced, we may hear more about it soon.
