Toyota FT-Bh hybrid concept car has adopted weight reduction measures and is run by a more-efficient powertrain and reduced air resistance. The Toyota FT-Bh hybrid car boasts a fuel efficiency of 2.1 liters per 100 kilometers under the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC), with CO2 emissions of just 49 g/km—less than half the current average for B-segment cars.

Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) launches “Aqua” gasoline-electric compact hybrid car in Japan.The Aqua hatch is powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine rated at 72 horsepower and an electric motor rated at 45 kW as well as fed by additional power from a nickel-metal-hydride battery pack. Aqua gives amazing mileage between 35 kmpl and 40 kmpl, said the company.

Toyota launches hatchback Etios Liva

Toyota launches redesigned ‘Vitz’

Since the launch of the first-generation in 1999, Toyota Motors unveiled its redesigned compact hatchback ‘Vitz’ at a press preview in Tokyo on Wednesday by Toyota president Akio Toyoda. The new Vitz, which will retail at $12,700 (Rs 5.7 lakh) in Japan.

Toyota drives in Corolla Altis Diesel at Rs 10.95 lakh

Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd. (TKM) launched the diesel version of its premium sedan Corolla Altis in India. The Corolla Altis Diesel is priced between Rs 10.95 lakh and 13.75 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), said the company.
The Corolla Altis Diesel is available with a newly developed 1.4L in-line 4-cylinder D-4D Common Rail six-speed manual transmission engine that generates a peak power of 88.4 PS and a peak torque of 205 Nm. Toyota launches special edition Innova, priced 8.87 lakhs

Toyota Kirloskar Motor launched a Special Edition its multi-purpose vehicle Innova in India, priced Rs. 8,86,960 ex-showroom Delhi. In addition to the existing Innova line-up, the Special Edition has been designed to give the vehicle an enhanced refined look, and boasts affordable luxury. Toyota recalls 2003 Model Sequoia SUVs to upgrade VSC

Toyota Motor will conduct a voluntary safety recall on approximately 50,000 early-2003 Model-Year Toyota Sequoia sport utility vehicles to upgrade program logic in its Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) system. The VSC system can help control a loss of traction in turns as a result of front or rear tire slippage during cornering.
