Troubles are still haunting the world’s cheapest car from Tata Motors, Nano. This time, it is the starter motor. Though Tata refused to call it a recall, about 1.40 lakh Nanos will be fitted with advanced and better performing starter motors in what can be termed as the biggest-ever replacement exercise in the history of India’s automobile sector.

Tata Motors announced introduction of the new Tata Nano with a bouquet of features – new colours, new interiors, a more powerful gasoline engine and even greater fuel efficiency of 25.4 kmpl, further improving on its record as India’s most fuel efficient petrol car. Tata Nano launched in Nepal

After Sri Lanka, Tata Motors launched world’s cheapest car, Tata Nano, in Nepal. Nano will be on sale across Nepal through the company’s distributor, Sipradi Trading Pvt. Ltd., at 14 Sipradi owned & Sipradi authorised dealer showrooms, Tata said. Tata had introduced Nano in Sri Lanka recently making it Nano’s maiden entry into the international market.

Sri Lanka has become the first international market for the Tata Nano, with the people’s car being commercially launched in the island country. The introduction of the Tata Nano in international markets comes on the Golden Jubilee of Tata Motors’ international business which too began with Sri Lanka in 1961 in association with Diesel & Motor Engineering PLC (DIMO), the company’s distributor.

Tata Motors expands Nano warranty to 4 years

Tata Motors has come out with a new strategy by increasing the manufacturing warranty period to four years or 60,000 kilometre (whichever is earlier) on its much-hyped small car over the previous 18-month warranty or 24,000 km.

Tata Nano price hike by Rs. 9000 from November 1

Tata Motors is hiking the price of Tata Nano effective from November 1, 2010. The price of Tata Nano will be increased by about Rs.9000/- (ex-showrooms), with prices varying from city to city and model to model.

Tata Motors to swiftly ramp up Nano production at Sanand plant

Tata Motors will swiftly ramp up production of the country’s cheapest small car, Nano, at its Sanand plant in Gujarat as the company is all set to operatioanise the plant before schedule. Tata Motors showcases Tata Aria, Tata Venture & Tata Magic

Tata Nano draws over 2.03 lakh bookings

The Tata Nano has drawn over 2.03 lakh fully paid bookings amounting to nearly Rs.2,500 crores, in an encouraging response to the car launched on 23rd March, according to a press release issued by the company.
