Tata Teleservices Ltd (TTSL) is India’s first privately owned mobile operator to sign a deal securing its 3G telecoms supplier. It has selected Nokia Siemens Networks technology and expertise to support the launch of 3G. The network, based on WCDMA 3G and including HSPA+, will allow TTSL to offer high-quality mobile broadband providing fast Internet browsing and better quality voice calls.

Nokia India officially launched smartphone C3 with full qwerty keypad and mobile e-mail service besides access to social networking services at Rs 5,318 apparently kicking off a price war in the segment among the handset makers in the country. Nokia on Wednesday launched the new addition to its E-series range, Nokia E75 in India, priced at Rs.26,299. Features of Nokia messaging is a service that opens up the third party email accounts – including Yahoo! Mail, Gmail and Windows Live Hotmail – and is joined by Nokia’s corporate email clients, Mail for Exchange and IBM Lotus Notes Traveler, which provide direct access to over 90 percent of the world’s corporate inboxes as well.
