Audi launches Limited Edition Q7 4.2 TDI quattro in India

Audi, the German luxury car manufacturer, announced a Limited Edition offer on the highly anticipated Audi Q7 4.2 TDI quattro – the latest and more powerful version of the largest selling luxury SUV in India. This special offer is to commemorate completion of three successful years of Audi in India. The limited edition Audi Q7 4.2 TDI will be available at an attractive price of Rs. 58,68,000 (ex-showroom Mumbai) from April 2010.

The new V8 4.2 TDI quattro engine will join the three existing engine options – 3.0 TDI quattro, 3.6 FSI quattro and 4.2 FSI quattro at Audi dealerships across the country. The price of the Audi Q7 4.2 TDI, post the limited edition offer period, will be Rs.66,12,500 (ex-showroom Mumbai).

“The Audi Q7 has set the benchmark as the best luxury SUV in the country and with the introduction of this new powerful diesel engine we continue to offer customers the most progressive, sporty and sophisticated products – reflecting the core essence of our brand DNA ‘Vorsprung durch Technik’,” said Mr. Benoit Tiers, Managing Director, Audi India.

The Audi Q7 4.2 TDI boasts of impressive performance figures: 0-100 km/h in 6.4 seconds and top speed of 240 km while still having a fuel efficient engine which consumes 9.9 liters per 100 km.

The Audi Q7 is a sporty, comfortable, high-performance car for leisure and business. It is the large Audi for customers looking for a vehicle that can take them anywhere and is roomy and flexible. And this character is immediately evident in the design: the side view with the low window area, the arched roof line and the tautly curved body surfaces present a coupe-like silhouette.

This exclusive Limited Edition Audi Q7 4.2 TDI will be available at Audi dealerships across the country. All standard equipment on the car remains unchanged.

The Audi model range in India includes the Audi A4, the Audi A6, the Audi A8, the Audi Q5, the Audi Q7, the Audi TT and the super sports car Audi R8. The entire range is available at eight showrooms across the country: in Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Kochi. 2010 will witness the opening of new showrooms in Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai (West), Jaipur, Chennai, Ludhiana. Further developments include Lucknow, Coimbatore and Nagpur.

Three new engines for the Audi A4 in India

Audi, the German luxury car manufacturer, introduced three new engines for the Audi A4 ― the 3.0 TDI quattro, the 2.0 TFSI and the 1.8 TFSI. With a range of five engines, the Audi A4 becomes the model with the widest choice for customers in the luxury car market in India.

These engines also have significantly greater fuel efficiency, consuming 10 percent less fuel than their predecessors. For the most powerful engine in the range, the 3.2 FSI quattro, Audi India announced additionally a special offer for the customers – a 3.99 percent interest financing rate. The price for the Audi A4 range starts at INR 2,667,000 for the Audi A4 1.8 TFSI (ex-showroom Mumbai).

The wide range of engine options provides great strength to the Audi A4 ― three petrol engines and two diesel-powered engines with four or six cylinders, all offering the advantages of direct injection with cutting-edge FSI, TFSI and TDI technology.

The new Audi A4 engines consume an average of ten percent less fuel than their predecessors. Audi’s modular efficiency system, which includes reduced internal friction, demand-based control of ancillary components, intelligent temperature management, economical power steering and air conditioner drive units and an energy recuperation system have been instrumental in ensuring enhanced fuel efficiency. Audi includes the LED rear lights as standard fitment from June onwards in the new Audi A4 range as addition to the famous LED front lights.

The customers have a choice of two high-tech transmission solutions: the tiptronic six-speed automatic gearbox and the continuously variable multitronic version. The high-end models, the Audi A4 3.2 FSI quattro and the Audi A4 3.0 TDI, are equipped with the quattro permanent four-wheel drive system.

At an overall length of 4.70 metres, the Audi A4 is a large saloon and boasts of a substantial, powerful road presence. The legroom for rear passengers and its 480-litre boot are larger than of any of its direct competitors’. Inside the Audi A4, the ambience is spacious and full of light. It embodies the traditional Audi strengths: a distinguished appearance, no-compromise high-quality workmanship with close attention to detail and logical, intuitive controls.

The Audi A4 customer can choose between a range of six exciting colors: Dakar Beige, Brilliant Red, Ice Silver, Meteor Grey, Phantom Black and Ibis White.

The Audi A4 offers a high standard equipment to India, including features known only from upper segments: for example the Multi Media Interface (MMI), the optical parking system with rearview camera and the Bang & Olufsen sound system are available options.

Audi, the German luxury car manufacturer, launched the much awaited Audi Q5 – the sportiest and most elegant SUV in its class. Audi Q5 is a marvel of precision engineering, luxurious interiors, with dynamic and innovative features and progressive design. Voted the Best Off-Roader in Europe by auto motor und sport and awarded the Golden Steering Wheel in Germany, the Audi Q5 combines the dynamism of a sports sedan with Audi’s legendary quattro permanent all-wheel drive to create a superior technology package for both on- and off-road driving. The Audi Q5 with two engine options – 2.0 TFSI and 3.0 TDI – will be available at Audi dealerships across India from June 4th, 2009 onwards.

The Audi Q5’s design is elegant and sculptural – typically for Audi, which is the leading brand in this domain. The large single-frame grill dominates the front-end, the headlamps have xenon plus bulbs and LED running lights as standard, and the rear lights also feature LED technology. The Audi Q5 is 4.63 meters (15.19 feet) long, 1.88 meters (6.17 feet) wide and 1.65 meters (5.41 feet) high, giving it the sportiest proportions in the segment.

The Audi Q5 comes to the Indian market with two powerful engines – one petrol (2.0 TFSI) and one diesel (3.0 TDI). Both of them are direct injection units with turbocharging, beefy pulling power and impressive fuel efficiency. The new 2.0 TFSI with Audi valvelift system has a maximum power output of 155 kW (211 hp) and speeds up to 100 km/h in 7.2 seconds. The 3.0 TDI is the most powerful engine in the range with 176 kW (240 hp) and 500Nm of torque. It speeds up from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds with a top speed of 225 km/h.

For these engines Audi has developed a new generation of the dynamic S tronic – the innovative dual-clutch transmission now has seven gears. Being a performance SUV, the Audi Q5 drives with sporty precision and unwavering stability, with a climbing performance of a staggering 31 degrees.

The Audi Q5 combines technology with luxury. The standard and optional equipment includes the Audi driver information system, the MMI (Multi Media Interface), xenon plus headlights with LED technology, Bang & Olufsen surround sound, a DVD player, Rear Seat Entertainment, 3-Zone automatic air conditioning, cruise control, an acoustic parking system with rearview camera and many additional features.

The Audi Q5 range starts at INR 3,829,000 for the 2.0 TFSI and INR 4,419,000 for the 3.0 TDI (ex-showroom Mumbai) and will be offered in six exciting colors: Stratos Blue, Garnet Red, Ice Silver, Meteor Grey, Phantom Black and Ibis White.

German luxury car-maker Audi on Thursday launched its world’s most successful business sedan Audi A6 in the Indian market. The new Audi A6 starts at Rs. 38,57,000 (ex-showroom Mumbai) and offers a choice of four engines – 3.0 TFSI, 2.8 FSI, 3.0 TDI, 2.7 TDI – and six exciting colors: Aventurin Blue, Dakar Beige, Ice Silver and Oyster Grey are the new additions to the color range of the Audi A6 besides the successful Phantom Black and Ibis White.

The new Audi A6 will be available along with the entire Audi model range comprising the Audi A8, Audi Q7, Audi A4, Audi TT and the super sports car Audi R8 from May 4th, 2009 onwards at 12 dealerships across the country: Delhi, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Ludhiana, Chennai, Kochi and Kolkata.

Features of the Audi A6 emphasises the cars strong personality; the latest engine generation including the new turbo engine 3.0 TFSI equips the model with more power and highest efficiency. The design of the new Audi A6 is emphasized by a range of bold new accents, perfectly articulating the cars strong personality. The single-frame grill, bumpers, air vents and fog lights have all gotten a facelift. In the standard xenon plus, LED daytime running lights have been redesigned as horizontal strips with six LEDs each.

The new Audi A6 enters the Indian market with a higher equipment level than the predecessor and the well-known advanced Audi Multi Media Interface system, the MMI, which has been setting news standard for perfectly controlling any function of the car. The instrument panel uses new higher-resolution graphics; and a new frame better accentuates the display.

The new Audi A6’s spacious interior with its clean and elegant contours and perfect craftsmanship is characteristic of this luxury brand. The rear seats have been re-defined and became far more comfortable and a package of elaborate features makes sure the noise level is cut by almost half.
