Audi A6 Limited Edition launched, priced at Rs. 37 Lakhs

German luxury car manufacturer, Audi announced a Limited Edition offer on the Audi A6 – 2.7 TDI as a part of its 100 year celebrations. The Limited Edition Audi A6 2.7 TDI will be available from January 1, 2010 and comes with a price tag of Rs. 37,00,000/- (ex-showroom Mumbai). Launched in India on April 23, 2009 with a price tag of Rs. 38,57,000/-, Audi A6 is considered to be the most successful business sedan launched in India.

The Audi A6 is not just the sportiest sedan in the business class – it is also distinguished by its generous levels of equipment. This applies to its comfort and safety features as well as to both standard and optional equipment. The Audi A6 comes with technologically advanced features like LED daytime running lights, Voice Control, MMI. One can also opt for an additional optional package which includes state-of-the-art features like Audi Parking System Advanced with rear-view camera, Bose sound system, MMI remote control, rear seat entertainment preparation.

The Audi A6 2.7 TDI has proven to be a high-performance engine amongst the spectrum of engines offered in the A6 model range. Recognized for its powerful V6 engine and TDI technology, the 2.7 TDI develops 140 kW (190 hp) from its engine capacity of 2,698 cc. Its maximum torque of 380 Nm is available between 1,400 and 3,500 rpm. This engine powers the A6 from zero to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds and all the way up to a maximum speed of 227 km/h.

The Limited Edition Audi A6 will be available at Audi Dealerships across the country. The standard equipment on the car remains unchanged when compared to the equipment offered prior to this special initiative, but at a reduced price of Rs.37,00,000/- for a limited period of time. The Audi model range in India comprises the new Audi Q7, the Audi Q5, the new Audi A6, the Audi A8, the Audi A4, the Audi TT and the super sports car Audi R8.

German luxury car-maker Audi on Thursday launched its world’s most successful business sedan Audi A6 in the Indian market. The new Audi A6 starts at Rs. 38,57,000 (ex-showroom Mumbai) and offers a choice of four engines – 3.0 TFSI, 2.8 FSI, 3.0 TDI, 2.7 TDI – and six exciting colors: Aventurin Blue, Dakar Beige, Ice Silver and Oyster Grey are the new additions to the color range of the Audi A6 besides the successful Phantom Black and Ibis White.

The new Audi A6 will be available along with the entire Audi model range comprising the Audi A8, Audi Q7, Audi A4, Audi TT and the super sports car Audi R8 from May 4th, 2009 onwards at 12 dealerships across the country: Delhi, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Ludhiana, Chennai, Kochi and Kolkata.

Features of the Audi A6 emphasises the cars strong personality; the latest engine generation including the new turbo engine 3.0 TFSI equips the model with more power and highest efficiency. The new Audi A6 with four engine variants – 3.0 TFSI, 2.8 FSI, 3.0 TDI, 2.7 TDI – will be available at the Audi dealerships across India from May 4th, 2009 onwards.

The design of the new Audi A6 is emphasized by a range of bold new accents, perfectly articulating the cars strong personality. The single-frame grill, bumpers, air vents and fog lights have all gotten a facelift. In the standard xenon plus, LED daytime running lights have been redesigned as horizontal strips with six LEDs each.

The new Audi A6 enters the Indian market with a higher equipment level than the predecessor and the well-known advanced Audi Multi Media Interface system, the MMI, which has been setting news standard for perfectly controlling any function of the car. The instrument panel uses new higher-resolution graphics; and a new frame better accentuates the display.

The new Audi A6’s spacious interior with its clean and elegant contours and perfect craftsmanship is characteristic of this luxury brand. The rear seats have been re-defined and became far more comfortable and a package of elaborate features makes sure the noise level is cut by almost half.
