Apple launches much awaited iPad in India on Friday nearly 10 months after it launched in the US. iPad on sale through Apple’s retail stores and select Apple authorised resellers in the country. In India, the price of the basic model iPad with 16 GB of memory+Wi-Fi-is Rs 27,900 and the higher models goes up to Rs 44,990 for Indian markets.

Apple previewed its iPhone OS 4 software and released a beta version of the software to iPhone Developer Program members. Apple releases Aperture 3, the next generation of its photo editing and management software, with over 200 new features including Faces, Places and Brushes. Building on the innovative Faces and Places features introduced in iPhoto ’09, Aperture 3 makes it even easier and faster to organise large photo libraries.
