The Tata Nano has received the world’s oldest and most coveted Good Designtm Award for 2010, which is conferred annually by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design together with The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies. The award for the Tata Nano has come in the category of transportation, said Tata Motors.

Jaguar’s new XJ which went on sale earlier this year and got off to a flying start receiving more than 20 international honours including ‘Best Luxury Car’ from China’s Auto News, ‘Annual Limousine King’ from Quattroroute (Italy), ‘Luxury Car of the Year’ from Top Gear (UK), Automobile Magazine’s ’2011 Design of the Year’ and ‘Best Executive Sedan’ at the Bloomberg Awards (US).

Nearly 2,000 entrepreneurs across sectors will participate in The TiE Entrepreneurial Summit that kicks off on December 21 in New Delhi. The event will host a series of interactive sessions with home grown entrepreneurs and
other stake holders.

The Tata Motors Group global sales, comprising Tata, Tata Daewoo and Hispano Carrocera range of commercial vehicles, Tata passenger vehicles along with distributed brands in India, and Jaguar and Land Rover, stood at 85,114 units in August 2010, a growth of 29% over August 2009.

Mitsubishi Motors Corporation President Osamu Masuko noted, “Since the ASX was first launched this February in Japan, then in Europe and China, I am pleased to say that we are receiving such high praise for the vehicle that demand currently exceeds production in Japan. We plan to expand our SUV lineup in Russia with the new ASX in addition to commencing full-fledged SKD*3 production of the Outlander, the core of our SUV lineup, at a new assembly plant in Kaluga next month. We hope to meet the needs and expectations of our customers in Russia, one of our most important markets.”
