Samsung Mobile launched Samsung Jet, the touch screen phone in India

Samsung announced the launch of touch screen mobile, Samsung Jet and Samsung Marine, the Company’s First Outdoor Phone in the Indian market.

Samsung Jet is not simply another full touch mobile phone; it brings a brand new concept of mobile phone to today’s consumers. ‘Smarter than a smart phone,’ Samsung Jet supports the latest smart phone features which include multi-task manager and Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, with a more convenient user interface as a result of more streamlined push email for business users.

Samsung Jet boasts world firsts in both display technology and speed of performance. Its pioneering 16M WVGA AMOLED display (3.1”) offers the most vivid and colorful full touch mobile experience available; the WVGA AMOLED screen provides a resolution that is four times higher than a WQVGA screen. Its 800MHz application processor delivers breathtaking speed and stunning performance, making Jet the fastest full touch handset in the market today.

Multiple applications run both seamlessly and simultaneously through the use of Jet’s powerful application processor, enabling users to dip in and out of the features as they wish. Samsung’s Dolfin Internet browser is designed to let users surf the net and access popular websites, especially social networking sites, with ease and speed. The browser enhances the mobile internet experience by allowing users to view up to five web pages simultaneously and bookmark their favourite websites as widgets on the phone’s homepage. A built in ad-blocker, multiple downloading and background downloading feature, and multi-purpose address field, further enhance the experience while Dolfin’s unique one finger zoom enables users to zoom in and out of web pages using only one hand.

‘Samsung Marine’, the Company’s First Outdoor Phone, incorporates various outdoor features, robust durability and a stylish design .With the launch of ‘Samsung Marine’, the newest submersible mobile phone, Samsung is virtually seeking to create a new segment in the mobile phone market in India.

Encased in anti-shock urethane material, the ‘Samsung Marine’ is built to withstand the bumps, bangs, scrapes and even withstand dust and water. Featuring the IP57 certification, the phone provides perfect outdoor mobile experiences while supporting dust protection and water protection (under up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes). ‘Samsung Marine’ is adaptable for even the toughest environment – including rain, fog, humidity, sand and extremely hot and cold temperatures, etc. – and is tested under specifications defined by the US Department of Defence with Military Standard 810F (MIL-STD-810F).

Furthermore, ‘Samsung Marine’ is equipped with outdoor friendly features such as loud external speakers, noise cancellation and a flash light. The Marine (B2100) offers a host of multimedia features like built-in camera, camcorder, FM radio, a music player and expandable memory (up to 8GB) in one compact unit. The user can enjoy the multimedia features while they are enjoying outdoor activities .Samsung Marine , available in a choice of red and green colours , is priced at Rs 7030/- , while the Samsung Jet is priced at Rs. 24,150/-

Samsung has in the first six months of the year, launched over 20 new mobile models in the Indian market, six of them being in the touch screen segment. Samsung Jet is the sixth touch screen mobile phone being launched by the Company in this Year.
