Nokia launches C3 qwerty phone at Rs 5,318
World’s leading mobile handset maker Nokia has launched smartphone C3 with full qwerty keypad and mobile e-mail service besides access to social networking services at Rs 5,318 apparently kicking off a price war in the segment among the handset makers in the country. Nokia also launched two more handsets: C6, a touchphone with full keyboard, at a price of Rs 13,000 and E5 holding a price tag of Rs 10,634.Nokia C3 gives easy access to online communities with easy messaging features and a fast, reliable internet connection.
On Nokia C3, home screen can be changed with different background, theme and icons. Get live Facebook and Twitter feeds right on home screen. Keep in touch with friends – simply select their picture to call or send a message. Manage email, chat, calendar and music with dedicated widgets on your home screen, states information provided on the Nokia website.

The Nokia C3 has been built with social networking in mind as it is the first Series 40 phone with a full QWERTY keyboard, providing this feature at very affordable price points. The Nokia C3 comes with Nokia Messaging, Ovi Mail and Ovi Chat, meaning first time users can set up email and chat accounts straight from the device, without the need for a PC. Other features include Wi-Fi connectivity, a two megapixel camera, rich color screen, and support for up to 8GB memory card. It comes in a variety of colors including golden white, slate grey and hot pink. The Nokia C3 is expected to be available in the second quarter of 2010.
The Nokia C6 is a Symbian-based smartphone combining the benefits of a 3.2 inch touch screen with a full slide out QWERTY keyboard. The large screen provides a great Internet experience, as well as offering access to Facebook feeds directly on the homescreen. The Nokia C6 has features including a high quality five megapixel camera with autofocus and flash and Ovi Maps with free lifetime navigation.
The Nokia C6 can be personalized with thousands of applications – whether its games and videos to news aggregators and web services – all available in the Ovi Store. This model is expected to be available in the second quarter of 2010. Nokia C6 is available in two colours: Black, White.
The Nokia E5 brings together high quality business features and entertainment capabilities. The Nokia E5 combines a full QWERTY keyboard and multiple work and personal email accounts. With a variety of productivity applications available in the Ovi Store and one touch connection to instant messaging, personal email and social networks. Additionally, it comes with Ovi maps and free navigation amongst other interesting features. It also includes a 5 megapixel camera and super fast internet over wireless LAN and 3G.
Nokia E5 is available in five colours: Carbon Black, Chalk White, Copper Brown, Silver Grey and Sky Blue. E5 has free user memory of 256 MB. Nokia E5 is expected to be in the domestic market in the third quarter of 2010.
