ASUS Eee PC Seashell crawls onto the Indian shore. ASUS announced the launch of the Eee PC™ Seashell Series in the Indian market comprising of Eee PC 1008HA, Eee PC 1005HA & Eee PC 1101HA. The Eee PC Seashell series netbook emanate the beauty of nature with exquisitely designed look and combine the most innovative technology to provide the consumer with a very user friendly, stylish and portable netbooks. The ergonomically designed keyboard, intelligent energy management system and an intuitive multi-touch track-pad, aims to provide users with the best mobile computing experience, wherever their journeys take them.

The newly launched series sport the Super Hybrid Engine that monitors the programs in use and adjusts the power supply with performance to provide an optimal power saving solution. The Eee PC 1005HA has a battery life of 10.5 hours while the Eee PC 1101HA has a screen size of 11.6 inches. The Eee PC™ Seashell  series have a 2.5-inch SATA II 160GB hard disk drive with a 10GB of online Eee Storage facilities. The newly launched netbook series is targeted at the young adults, professionals and travelers.

With a design inspired by a seashell, the Eee PC™ Seashell netbook is enveloped in an opalescent glossy exterior, created through In-Mold Roller technology which serves as a protective shell providing scratch resistance for day-to-day durability. The lid is graced with tiny reflective specks which glisten in the light, adding the crowning touches to an already exquisite design. An ergonomically designed keyboard makes typing on-the-move a breeze, measuring in at 92% compared to its conventional desktop counterpart.

Boasting a profile measuring just 1-inch in depth and weighing 1.1kg, the svelte and lightweight Eee PC™ Seashell’s compact dimensions make it the perfect runabout Internet device anywhere. It also packs 6* hours of battery life for many fun-filled hours on the road with a single charge, making it a truly perfect all-day entertainment companion. Super Hybrid Engine intelligently monitors the programs being used and deploys just the right amount of power required, all the while conserving power by constantly making adjustments between performance and power.

A multi-touch track pad allows users to intuitively zoom in or out of pictures via pinching, or navigating up and down pages by sliding along the touchpad. The Eee PC™ Seashell boasts a 2.5-inch SATA II 160GB hard disk drive for more-than-ample storage for music, videos and movies. It also features 10GB of online Eee Storage for access to files anytime, anywhere. 802.11b/g/n wireless connectivity allows users to connect to the Internet, as well as keep in touch with family and friends wherever they are. The Eee PC 1008HA has the enhanced version of Bluetooth 2.1 which enables the faster data transfer speeds.
