Bharti Airtel upgrades speeds of all existing customers

Bharti Airtel, one of Asia’s leading integrated telecom service providers, is upgrading speeds of all its existing customers (on 64, 128, 256 kbps) to a minimum of 512 kbps.

Further, customers currently on 512 kbps plans and 1 mbps plans will have their speeds doubled to 1 mbps and 2 mbps respectively. The upgrades come at no extra cost to existing customers and this process will be completed by June 2010 pan India, said a company release.
 
Airtel also announced the launch of ‘Impatience Plans’ by offering 4 mbps speed plans starting at Rs 899 per month. The Impatience Plans will be available in Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore. As part of the Impatience Plans offerings, customers can either avail an unlimited data transfer plan or opt for a continuous hi-speed plan.

“We are delighted to provide superior internet browsing experience to our customers through these high speed plans. Massifying broadband experience in India has been the pivotal to Airtel’s strategy for Broadband. These initiatives bring in a new paradigm for broadband in India” said K Srinivas, Joint President-Telemedia Services, Bharti Airtel.

There are four plans under this offer. Impatience 899, Impatience 1099, Impatience 1399 and Impatience 1799. All the four plans offer the of speed 4 mbps. There are four different tariffs:   Rs 899, Rs 1099, Rs 1399 and Rs 1799.
