Prolonged mobile phone use may cause cancer

There is no study that confirms that mobile phones can cause cancer. But according to a study regular use of mobile phone for more than ten years could double the risk of brain cancer.

According to the study, published in the journal, 'Occupational Environmental Medicine', children should be discouraged from using mobiles because their thinner skulls and developing nervous systems are more vulnerable to cancer. Adults also should cut down their talking time on mobile phones, Daily Mail reported.

The study claims that people using mobile phones for more than an hour a day are at risk of developing tumour on the side of the brain the handset is held.
