Maruti Suzuki launched limited edition of Swift

Maruti Suzuki announced the launch of a limited edition ‘Swift’, the iconic premium small car brand. The limited edition ‘Swift’ celebrates Maruti Suzuki’s landmark of selling one million cars in a year. The Swift ‘One Million Edition’ is available in the Vxi version (Petrol engine) and only 1,000 units of the limited edition Swift will be sold at a price of Rs. 4.83 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Mercedes-Benz launches new E-Class car Cabriolet in India

Mercedes-Benz India launched the E-Class Cabriolet in India at Rs 64.5 lakh. The four-seater E-Class Cabriolet has been equipped with retractable soft top roof. The new car, E-Class Cabriolet, is the seventh offering in the E-class range by the company in India. The E-Class E 350 Cabriolet is powered by a 3.5-litre engine delivering 272 hp (@6000 rpm) output and a torque of 355 Nm (@ 2400 – 5000 rpm).

Maruti Suzuki launches five factory-fitted CNG models

The country’s largest car maker Maruti Suzuki launched its flagship CNG engine technology, ‘intelligent-Gas Port Injection’ or i-GPI on five popular models. The models include SX4, Eeco, WagonR, Estilo and Alto and will available in Delhi NCR, Mumbai and Gujrat. With this initiative, the CNG footprint of the company spreads across entry level cars, compact cars, sedans and MPV segments. While Alto Lxi is priced at Rs 3.23, Eeco 5-seater Ac Rs 3.64, SX4 Vxi Rs 7.47, WagonR Lxi – Rs 4.11 , Estilo Lxi – Rs 4.05 (ex-showroom Delhi).

Honda launches X variant of Honda Jazz, priced at Rs 7.53 lakh

Honda launches VFR1200F superbike

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) launched its long awaited international road-sport motorcycle “VFR1200F” in the Fun bike segment. The bike VFR1200F is priced at Rs 17.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The bike is powered by a 1237cc V4 engine produces more than 90% of its maximum torque (129Nm/8,750 rpm) at 4000rpm and has a fuel tank capacity of 18.5b liters and is available with both manual and automatic transmission. The super bike will be available in the Indian market in August 2010.

Porsche launches second-generation Cayenne series in India

German luxury car maker Porsche launched five models of its second-generation Cayenne namely Cayenne, Cayenne S, Caynne Turbo, Cayenne Diesel and Cayenne S Hybrid in India (ex-showroom). The company’s ex-showroom price of the five Cayenne models are: Cayenne (Rs 65.82 lakh), Cayenne S (Rs 78.62 lakh), Caynne Turbo (Rs 1.27 crore), Cayenne Diesel (Rs 59.22 lakh) and Cayenne S Hybrid (Rs 75.46 lakh).

Toyota drives in Corolla Altis Diesel at Rs 10.95 lakh

Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd. (TKM) launched the diesel version of its premium sedan Corolla Altis in India. The Corolla Altis Diesel is priced between Rs 10.95 lakh and 13.75 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), said the company.
The Corolla Altis Diesel is available with a newly developed 1.4L in-line 4-cylinder D-4D Common Rail six-speed manual transmission engine that generates a peak power of 88.4 PS and a peak torque of 205 Nm. Mercedes-Benz launches super sports car SLS AMG in India

German luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz launched its new super sports car SLS AMG in India with a price range between Rs 2 crore and Rs 2.5 crore.The SLS AMG sporting gullwing doors is powered by a 6.3 litre engine and it can go up to a maximum speed of 317 km per hour and it can zoom to 100 km/h speed from zero in just 3.8 seconds.
