Ford Motor Company plans to launch eight new models in India by the middle of the decade as it moves to rapidly expand its presence in the fast growing market. Joe Hinrichs, president of Ford Asia Pacific and Africa (APA), made the announcement on Thursday, August 26, 2010 during a keynote speech titled “Managing Growth – Evolving Market Dynamics” at the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) Conference in New Delhi.

Mercedes-Benz India launched the E-Class Cabriolet in India at Rs 64.5 lakh. The four-seater E-Class Cabriolet has been equipped with retractable soft top roof. The new car, E-Class Cabriolet, is the seventh offering in the E-class range by the company in India. The E-Class E 350 Cabriolet is powered by a 3.5-litre engine delivering 272 hp (@6000 rpm) output and a torque of 355 Nm (@ 2400 – 5000 rpm).
