Mahindra & Mahindra, a part of the US $ 14.4 billion group, announced at the Delhi Auto Expo that it would launch SsangYong Rexton, Mahindra Reva NXR, the electric car, and a compact SUV before the festive season this year. Mahinda also announced the launch of Maxximo Passenger Van to debut in Q1 of next financial year and a sub 4-metre Verito in the last quarter of FY 13.

Honda Motorycles and Scooters India (HMSI) unveiled 110cc mass motorcycle Dream Yuga, sporty performance motorcycle CBR 150R, new 2012 model of CB Shine and new 2012 model of CBR 250R (new color) at the Delhi Auto Expo. Honda also displayed its New 2012 model of Dio in automatic scooter and the twin-engined VT 1300CX super bike as well as new performance bike CBR 1000RR Fireblade in the big bikes portfolio.

Vespa scooter is returning to India after over a decade. Italian two-wheeler manufacturer Piaggio, the parent company of Vespa, has unveiled its range of new Vespa scooters at the Delhi Auto Expo, Piaggio Vehicles announced while unveiling the two-wheeler.

Mahindra showcases SsangYong series Rexton, Korando E, Actyon Sports & XIV-1 Concept at Delhi Auto Expo

Maruti Suzuki unveils Ertiga at Auto Expo, to hit Indian market by March this year

Maruti Suzuki has unveiled Ertiga, the new seven-seater compact multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), at the Delhi Auto Expo 2012. Ertiga, says Maruti Suzuki India, will be launched in the Indian market by the end of March this year. With the Ertiga MPV, the company will for the first time introduce K-14 VVT 1.4 litre engine in India. Ertiga will also be launched in diesel variant.

French auto manufacturer Renault has launched Pulse diesel, its first hatch-back offering for India, at the 11th Auto Expo. The Pulse entry-level variant RxL is priced at Rs 5,98,335, top-end Pulse RxZ with Passenger Airbags (optional) carries a price tag of Rs 6,61,856. Pulse RxL with Airbags (optional) is priced at Rs 6,11,459 and Pulse RxZ at Rs 6,48,732 (all ex-showroom Mumbai prices).

Auto major Tata Motors said it plans to roll out the CNG version of the world’s cheapest car Nano in the Indian market this year, the company announced at the ongoing Delhi Auto Expo.Tata did not reveal about the pricing of the Nano CNG. The petrol version of the Nano is powered by 624cc engine delivering 38 PS of power with 51 Nm of torque. The revamped Nano delivers a whopping mileage of 25.4 km per litre.

RiO is showcased in three variants of its revamped models in petrol and diesel at the 11th Auto Expo, 2012.The five-seater RiO is available in four versions with the base model price starting from Rs 4.7 lakhs and the top-end model at Rs 6.35 lakhs, (ex-showroom prices, Pune).
