Headquartered in Clermont-Ferrand, France, Michelin on Friday launches its new MICHELIN Primacy LC tyre, a tailor-made product which effectively reduces driving noise and offers increased fuel efficiency. Featuring the world’s leading technologies, innovative compounds, optimized tyre profile, the new MICHELIN Primacy LC tyre is an obvious choice for drivers demanding high performance vehicles such as Skoda Octavia, Skoda Superb, Skoda Laura, Toyota Innova, Honda Accord, Honda Civic, Toyota Camry, Maruti SX4 Zxi etc.

It is also the best option for those who desire improved levels of silence, comfort, fuel efficiency. In addition, the tyre delivers Michelin’s traditional core performances – highest safety and longevity, which also happen to be the most important decisive factors for consumers while buying tyres, aside from quiet ride and fuel efficiency.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Jean Paul Caylar, the CEO of Michelin in India, said, “With the launch of MICHELIN Primacy LC tyre, we are hopeful of increasing our market share in high-performance tyre segment significantly. We continue to strive towards developing products apt for our consumer needs, which vary with region and geographic conditions and Primacy LC is yet another innovation which comes with enhanced safety, longevity, fuel saving and silence.”

“With excellent test results and driver feedback, we believe that the new MICHELIN Primacy LC tyre will set a regional industry benchmark for the high-performance tyre segment in Asia Pacific,” said Mr. Lionel Dantiacq, Head of Marketing and Sales – Passenger car tyre of Michelin Asia Pacific. The MICHELIN Primacy LC tyre is set to become Michelin’s next “best seller” in Asia Pacific, replacing its previous generation MICHELIN Energy MXV8 tyre.

Reducing fuel consumption makes sense if the gains are made without compromising the tyre’s safety performance, its tread life and silence performance. The new Michelin Primacy LC is the tyre capable of delivering outstanding performance in all these areas. Simultaneously, it reduces the amount of energy consumed; it lasts longer and shortens the distance needed to bring the vehicle to a halt, with a lower level of noise.

Michelin is manufacturing and marketing tyres for every type of vehicle, including airplanes, automobiles, bicycles/motorcycles, earthmovers, farm equipment, trucks and the US space shuttle. It also offers electronic mobility support services, on ViaMichelin.com, and publishes travel guides, hotel and restaurant guides, maps and road atlases. Michelin is present in 170 countries, has around 120,000 employees and operates 69 production plants in 19 different countries.
