Honda Motorcycle launches 110cc CB Twister bike
Honda Motorcycle entered the mass segment through the launch of its first 110cc bike, Honda CB Twister in New Delhi, India. The new CB Twister bike is expected to be price tagged around Rs 42,000/- (ex-showroom, Delhi). The exact price will be announced by January 5, 2010 and will hit the Indian roads by end of February 2010. Honda Motors are planning to expect to sell 2.20 lakh units in the year 2010-11. The classy 110cc bike CB Twister will be available in three variants – Kick Drum Alloy, Self Drum Alloy, Self Disc Alloy (with 240 mm front dis brake). All variants will be available in five exciting colours such as Pearl Nightstar Black, Pearl Fuji Blue, Candy Sonic Green, Pearl Amber Yellow and Pearl Siena Red.
The CB Twister is powered by all-new 110 cc carburetor engine, delivering 9BHP of power. The 110 cc CB Twister bike will deliver a mileage of 70 km per litre. The CB Twister bike is equipped with maintenance free battery and viscous air filter for more convenience. Strictly adhering to the BS-III norms which will come into effect from April 2010, CB Twister would be one of the most environment-friendly bike.
The new age style of the bike is inspired from world trend CB1000R. The screenless layered front cowl, eye-catching headlight, floating side cowl, muscular fuel tank, sharp rear with short tail, multi reflector tail lamp, short muffler and half chain case makes the bike style icon in the segment.
Honda CB Twister is equipped with a 240 mm Front Disc Brake for efficient control, tubeless tyres in the front and real for better performance and cornering, the V-shaped alloy wheels for enhanced aesthetics.
CB Twister depicts world’s latest trend with unmatched performance. The prefix “CB” has been derived from Honda’s stylish world-trend series symbolizing naked sports and the world “Twister” depicts swirling winds with great strength.
With the introduction of this bike, the industry is hoping to create a new segment and expand the two-wheeler market in India.
