From January 1, 2010, Ford India will hike the prices of all its models across the board. The upward price revisions are in the range of Rs. 6,000 to Rs. 40,000 across various model and is due to a steady rise in input costs and exchange rate fluctuations, said a company release.

After the price hike is implemented, Ford Endeavour 4×2 will be available at a price tag of Rs. 15,99,000, while Ford Endeavour 4×4 will be available at Rs. 18,39,000. Meanwhile, Ford Ikon & Ford Ikon (D) will cost Rs. 4,83,000 & Rs. 5,43,000 respectively

Meanwhile, Ford Ikon continues to prove its nerve in the mid-size sedan segment by winning the prestigious J.D Power New-Vehicle Initial Quality 2009 study in India released recently. Ford Ikon came out as a clear winner in its segment with a score of 90 PP/100 coming ahead and much stronger in the initial vehicle quality compared to the Maruti Swift Dzire (115 PP/100) and Tata Indigo/ (142 PP/100) in the entry mid-size segment.

It may also be noted that, earlier this year, both Ikon and Endeavour ranked highest in the 2009 J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability in the entry mid-size and SUV segments respectively.
