A low-priced PC, the NovaPC, is slated for launch by Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Ltd (TTML). The company has entered into a pact with Novatium to roll out thin-client solutions and TTML's high speed Internet DSL products in Mumbai, Maharashtra and Goa.
NovaPC is a thin-client based network computer and may be used for computing applications as well as for accessing the Internet. It supports both Windows and Linux operating systems. NovaPC also runs local applications using USB peripherals.
Referring to the tie-up, Alok Singh, CEO of Novatium, said, "We are very pleased to tie up with TTML, the largest private sector operator in the enterprise wireline voice and data space in Mumbai and Maharashtra, for launching the NovaPC. The width and the quality of TTML's fibre connectivity in Mumbai and across Maharashtra will substantially enrich the NovaPC user's experience in accessing the Internet and other computing applications."
