Motorola has launched a touch-screen handset, which will be sold by Verizon Wireless. The phone will contend with Apple's iPhone.
Motorola said the new phone, Krave ZN4, would go on sale on October 21 for $149.99 after rebates to customers who ink a two-year contract with Verizon Wireless.
The Krave has a transparent cover that opens to a touch-screen virtual keypad. There are features such as television and navigation, which users can access by pressing their fingers on the cover without opening the phone.
Motorola had sold a touch-screen phone, Ming, in China, while in the US, it offered phones with physical keypads.
