Terror tremors should not shake us

The terrorist outfits have been active in India for years now. Rather, we are used to their existence now. Unfortunate part of this story is if they do not exist we become abnormal. The recent bomb blasts across the nation, made the nation shiver with pain and fear. Subsequent arrests in Mumbai and encounters in Delhi brought some solace. But it remained short lived as today we saw a bomb blasting in a market place in Delhi.

The method of bomb blast today, was nothing but terrorists challenging the law and order administration officials of this nation. One may say that the way they dropped the bomb, connotes that they are also turning impatient and can be seen as a success of police functionaries across the nation. However there are many more things to be watched out for.

It also shows that the terrorists are no more shy to come out in open and willing to look into our 'eyes'. It is the time when we have to keep calm and find out these elements and lynch them to death ensuring peace in our society. There are many issues around and festive season ahead. To ensure that we go through these turbulent times, there is a need to live with calm heads. What else we can say. At a time when the home minister is busy changing clothes and attending iftar parties, least can be expected. At a time when there is a clear demand for an effective law that would help the police agencies to throw the shenanigans behind the bars, the policy makers sitting in the center are still thinking of the elections and possible opportunities to avoid law making on this issue.

The folks that are being held are not all bothered about their future as they are well aware that there will be enough aid given to them to ensure that they get out of the clutches of law. In a country where the likes of Afzal Guru, live despite given death sentence, and the home minister does not feel ashamed comparing Afzal Guru with innocent Indians held in Pakistan, there is little that can be expected. It is time that we keep calm; at least it will help us die in peace.
