Hopping about the begin

All of a sudden there is a hue and cry across the Indian political arena accusing lack of democratic set up. The political leaders are not beating their chests for the lack up democratic set up in the country. But more than anything they are concerned about the lack of democratic set up in the political parties with whom they were long attached and enjoyed the fruits of power.

Maharashtra happened to be the epicenter of the political earthquake. Two biggies Datta Meghe and Gopinath Munde revolted against their political heads. In both the cases, it was the internal unrest and lack of opportunity was quoted as the reasons behind such actions. Party discipline is kept on the sidelines while expressing the issues out.

The unrest and the lack of democratic decision making set ups always existed in almost each political party. However the need to voice them out was felt now. Most of such cases happen every five years, or put differently, just before the elections. There is a need to understand the psyche of these folks. Most of them just stand up, raise voice and move into some other political party.

In most cases, whoever gives the best offer is preferred by these guys. Thoughtless 'fronts' are forged to garner power and subsequently loot the public at large. There is a need of a law which will stop the shenanigans from joining the hands with those entities with whom they fought just before the elections. This will at least ensure that the voters are not totally fooled.
