Barack Obama: The game is yet to begin

Barack Obama president of the United States of America

The inauguration of Barack Obama as president of the United States of America turned out to be an event as expected. The media ensured that each and every moment is covered. All thanks to the charismatic personality of Barack Obama built over the Presidential election campaign over last couple of years. The speeches were really influencing and made a strong impression on the American minds - Hats off to oratory of the new President.

But the things are to be seen with more care now. The day, on which he walked into the White House, the markets lost more than 5%. UK is on the verge of going bankrupt. Dollar bills are being printed for nothing to back and the economy is yet to come out of recessionary pressures. The new President has not yet made his policies public. It is more a case of dreams of better times than the real hard methods to tackle the toughest times USA has ever seen.

Great speeches do not solve problem, they do not feed people. The hunger and dissatisfaction prevailing in the economy is the challenge, great orators cannot tackle. Till date few are aware of the capabilities of the new president. The problems the nation is facing are faced never before and hence it is imperative to see how the issues are handled.

On the one hand the nation is fighting a war in Iraq and Afghanistan and on the other it is at war on the economic front. On both the fronts it is facing pressure and not a welcome situation at all. The average American wants to live in the paradise that they were living before 9/11. This is the biggest responsibility Obama has to share over the next 4 years with his new colleagues, with whom he has hardly worked in the past. The new team and new environment will make or break the nation with the most resources on the world. And a point to note that the making or braking of this nation, wont be restricted to that nation, but will surely go beyond that nation and become deciding the future of many nations on the planet whose future is coupled with USA. We wish all the best to the new President of USA.
