Amarnath Land: Issues and cards

The Jammu and Kashmir government revoked the orders to transfer the lands to the shrine board. This has given BJP a reason to stir the pot. As PDP has moved out of the state government, the saffron lovers are keen to bring in as much instability in the air of the valley as they can.

This has two impacts. First, the existing government when facing the no confidence motion, there is obvious opportunity in the hands of BJP to come into the power if the government can’t prove their majority in the house.

On the other hand, if the government can make the required number and remain in power, the next few months till the state legislative assembly elections should made the power seat a chair full of thorns for Gulam Nabi Azad.

The revocation of orders are used to inflame the communal tension in the valley to start with and then to take it to the national level. As the party prepares for the parliamentary elections, it becomes imperative for them to play the communal card backed by anti incumbency factor.

The time ahead is nothing short of testing time for the Congress. The things are turning into a challenging time in both the states and center and unfortunately the party organization is really very weak to handle any jolt.

The leaders at the state and local level are more; keen to pull each other's legs than to think anything constructive. The age old doctrine of divide and rule employed by Congress high command is seen to be working against them. However there is less expected on this front from the party top guns.

More over it is the time to watch the pressure tactics played by the BJJP top guns and keep counting the hits and misses of the parties at war.
