Good news for wildlife lovers. Aranyam 2007, a three-day wildlife film festival will showcase films about wildlife and nature from Oct 5th to 7th 2007 at the Gurunanak Bhavan, Vasanth Nagar, Bangalore, Karnataka, India. The festival will also have a short presentation and a panel discussion on wildlife during the three days. Films will be presented with discussions including consumers of eco tourism services, adventure professionals, environment organizations, wildlife organizations and documentary movie producers, inviting audience participation. The Aranyam Film Festival is a special event with focus on entertaining and educating people through films, to promote the conservation of nature and the public appreciation of biodiversity, through the power of wildlife imagery.
Aranyam 2007 will showcase 28 films from various countries and interactive panel discussion as part of the Wildlife Week celebrations.
A list of few Films, which will be premiered in India:
'The Wild Dog Diaries" made by Krupakar, a filmmaker, is paying for man's historical folly of deriving the species to near extinction. This will be the inaugural film since it has never been showcased in India.
