IndiGo, the low-fare domestic airline that is redefining airline quality standards in India, has taken delivery of its 16th brand new Airbus A320 aircraft and is starting daily nonstop flights between Mumbai and Bhubaneshwar, and adding an additional same-plane connecting service between Mumbai and Kolkata via Bhubaneshwar from January 29th onwards.

Speaking on the new and additional services from Mumbai, Bruce Ashby, President and CEO of IndiGo said, “We are pleased to announce these services to Mumbai, which will provide our customers greater flexibility in organizing their travel and will further help us in strengthening our route network”.
With its 16th aircraft, the airline will now operate 112 daily flights connecting 17 destinations, including Agartala, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune and Vadodara. IndiGo plans to fly 30 Indian cities by 2010, with a fleet of approximately 40 A320s. |
