Budget carrier Deccan (erstwhile Air Deccan) has launched an additional flight from Kolkata to Jamshedpur, starting on October 28. Booking for the flight is open for the travel period for upto March 2008. An ATR aircraft will be deployed to serve the route.
Earlier, Deccan had introduced a daily Kolkata–Jamshedpur-Kolkata service and flew over 5000 passengers.
"In deference to the requests of Jamshedpur citizens, conveyed to us by Tata Steel managing director Muthuraman, we have decided to launch an additional morning flight connecting Jamshedpur to Kolkata. The new morning flight, in addition to the existing evening flight will help meet the needs of several corporate travelers, small and medium enterprises, professionals and others travelling between these major cities," Deccan officiating CEO Ramkrishnan Sundaram said.
He further added "As the all new Deccan, we have transformed into a more passenger focused, value-based low cost airline, committed to delivering an enhanced passenger experience in addition to great connectivity at affordable fares". |
