FUJIFILM India, a subsidiary of FUJIFILM Corporation, Japan announced the launch of FUJIFILM FinePix F70EXR, world’s smallest 10x zoom digital camera in India, priced at Rs.17,999. The new FinePix F70EXR camera just 22.7mm thick and crafted into a beautiful sculpted shell with a double-coated lacquer finish.

Microsoft India launches a set of Indian Language Transliteration tools that help users enter Indian language text into computers easily and quickly. The beta version of the tools will be made available as a free download soon and will initially support the following six languages – Bengali, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu.These input tools use free-form transliteration. Users spell Indian language words in a natural (phonetic) way using English alphabet, which the tools transliterate into the right words in the chosen Indian language.

Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt’s film Production Company Plan B Entertainment and Reliance BIG Entertainment join hands with Capcom, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games to produce ‘Dark Void’. The theatrical version of the Dark Void game is being developed as a sci-fi action franchise and potential starring vehicle for Pitt.

British iconic brand Rolls-Royce Motors Cars, headquarters in Goodwood, UK, launched its four-door super-luxury saloon, ‘GHOST’ in India, priced at Rs 2.5 crore. Ghost is smaller and more dynamic than previous models Phantom. Production of Ghost will start at Goodwood and the first customer cars are expected to be delivered to India by the second quarter of 2010.

Reliance Communications (RCom), announced the launch of mVDO service for its mobile subscribers that will allow RCom users watch, share, search and upload videos on their GSM mobile phones. The unique mVDO service would be available to users through an excellent subscription offer varying in different price points for different periods of validity from a month to as less as a week. However, all prices for varying validities cost no more than Re. 1/- per day.

Michelin Group signs MoU with Tamil Nadu government for Rs 4,000 crore tyre manufacturing plant, 50 km north of Chennai at Thervoy Kandigai in Thiruvallur district.The manufacturing facility will focus on a range of Radial Truck/Bus tyres. The plant will start operations in 2012 and will focus on the growing Indian market.

Kingfisher Airlines, India’s only Five Star airline rated by Skytrax, launched daily direct flights from Chennai to Salem. Kingfisher Flight IT 4737 will depart Chennai at 2.50 pm and arrive Salem at 3:50 pm. The return flight, IT 4738 takes off from Salem at 4:20 pm and flight will reach Chennai at 5.20 pm.
