US most successful motorcycle maker Harley-Davidson finally enters the Indian market and it will start selling its iconic motorcycles in India in 2010. The company has established a subsidiary to be located in Gurgaon, near Delhi, and has begun the process of seeking dealers. Harley-Davidson is the global leader in cruising and touring motorcycles and ranks as one of the strongest brands in the world, with motorcycle sales now in more than 70 countries.

India’s leading car maker, Maruti Suzuki, launched a new petrol version of its hatchback Estilo, priced between Rs 3.12 lakh and Rs 3.95 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi). The new Estilo is available in three exciting variants: LX, LXi and VXi with four colours. The new Estilo is equipped with a 998cc K-series three-cylinder engine delivers a power of 68 PS, 6200rpm and a higher torque of 90Nm, 3500rpm.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) is a subsidiary of Japanese car manufacturing giant Toyota Motor Corporation, launched the much-awaited SUV Toyota Fortuner in India. Toyota Fortuner is a 3.0 liter diesel SUV and will be available at a price of Rs 18.45 lakhs (Ex-showroom, Delhi) ($ 38, 438).
“The SUV market in India has witnessed extensive growth due to launches in Mid and Premium SUV segment. We expect that the launch of the FORTUNER will expand the mid-SUV market in India,” said Mr. Sandeep Singh, DMD, Marketing, TKM.

Abu Dhabi-based Ethihad Airways to launch a new service to Hyderabad in India as part of its winter 2009-2010 schedule.The new winter flying programme starts on October 25. The new winter flying programme will be almost 15 per cent larger by January 2010 than the same period last year with 950 flights planned to operate each week.
