General Motors, the Indian subsidiary of the US car giant announced that company will aggressively pursue its operations without modifying the business plans. The New General Motors Company began operations with a new corporate structure, a stronger balance sheet, and a renewed commitment to make the customer the center of everything the new GM does. GM India will be an important part of the new company.
“GM will continue to remain aggressive in India in order to take advantage of opportunities as they arise,” said Mr. Karl Slym, President & Managing Director, General Motors India.

Loop Telecom (formerly BPL Mobile Communications) rolled out its GSM operations from Karnataka and Kerala under the brand name Loop Mobile. Loop Telecom is the first amongst new GSM operators to have started operations in these two states. Last month, Loop Telecom had started its operations in Tamil Nadu & Orissa.
Loop Telecom is among the new mobile services companies to be awarded licensees to operate across 21 circles by DoT.
