Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) is all set to launch India’s first BS-IV compliant passenger car, Ritz, on May 15. Ritz, the tallboy hatchback, positioned in the premium A2 market segment, adopts a contemporary European design and is positioned at the growing premium-end of the compact car market.

The Tata Nano has drawn over 2.03 lakh fully paid bookings amounting to nearly Rs.2,500 crores, in an encouraging response to the car launched on 23rd March, according to a press release issued by the company.

British luxury car maker Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) is expected to introduce its range of premium performance saloon cars and sports utility cars, Jaguar and Land Rover, in India by this year. Tata Motors will import Jaguar and Land Rover and sell them through its sales and dealership network in India and is also due to open the first showroom at Ceejay House in Worli, Mumbai, in June this year.
