Recently, I traveled to Rajasthan on a wedding where I was part of the few special guests invited for the same. We traveled by the Ranakpur Express to Rani in Jodhpur. The journey was a good 15 hours, starting at 3pm we reached the next day at 6am. Khimal is equidistance between Jodhpur and Udaipur. As is the case with many villages and small towns here in Rajasthan, they lie empty for the entire year except during festivals and marriage ceremonies.

German luxury car-maker Audi on Thursday launched its world’s most successful business sedan Audi A6 in the Indian market. The new Audi A6 starts at Rs. 38,57,000 (ex-showroom Mumbai) and offers a choice of four engines – 3.0 TFSI, 2.8 FSI, 3.0 TDI, 2.7 TDI – and six exciting colors: Aventurin Blue, Dakar Beige, Ice Silver and Oyster Grey are the new additions to the color range of the Audi A6 besides the successful Phantom Black and Ibis White.

Metastatic Breast Cancer Patient Survey found that most (78 percent) women living with metastatic breast cancer (MBC) have never participated in a clinical trial. Of these women, more than half (56 percent) were never invited to consider a clinical trial and one-third (30 percent) had not been recommended a clinical trial by their healthcare provider.

Slumdog Millionaire filmmakers announce £500000 funding of Plan in India, a child centered development organisation which has worked to improve the lives of children in India for 30 years. This donation will support Plan’s program in a slum community located in central Mumbai. The program focuses on early childhood care, education, health, water & sanitation and child protection. Through this support Plan hopes to reach directly to 2,000 families and 5,000 children.

Nokia on Wednesday launched the new addition to its E-series range, Nokia E75 in India, priced at Rs.26,299. Features of Nokia messaging is a service that opens up the third party email accounts – including Yahoo!
