Reliance Comm launches video streaming on mobile phones

Reliance Communication has launched a video streaming service on mobile phones, enabling subscribers to watch Durgaotsav live.

Mobile video streaming is the first of its kind initiative and would reach out to Reliance Mobile subscribers across the country, through its digital multimedia mobile platform, Reliance Mobile World (RWorld).

Reliance Communications' customers can now watch 'Aarti', Poojas and other religious ceremonies throughout the day. With this latest initiative, Reliance Communications continues to innovate in the mobile TV space.

Reliance Mobile customers can watch the live proceedings of Durga Festival in Powai, Mumbai on - R World> News & TV> Mobile TV > Powai Durgotsav or   R World> News & TV> Powai Durgotsav on other phones. Customers will be charged Rs.15 for 5 minutes for the video streaming.

Reliance Communication subscribers can now celebrate Navratri and Durga Puja with Mobile content as part of the Dussera Pack which includes Navaratri Ringtones,Wallpapers, Caller Ringback tones, special videos such as  filmi navratri, ras garbha, Ambe Ma, Vaishno Mata, Disco Dandiya, Preety and  Pinky Live  … all on Reliance mobiles.

The Dussera Pack on Reliance Mobile World > Hot n New> Dussera Pack > Navratri Zn is priced at Rs 99/-.

Speaking on the occasion, Krishna Durbha, Head-VAS, Business & Marketing, Applications, Solutions & Content Group, "Navratri holds a special place in the hearts and minds of Indians.

Earlier, Reliance Communications had introduced live mobile streaming of the keynote address of Steve Ballmer, CEO, Microsoft at IndiMix '06 held in November addressing Web designers, business professionals and web developers during his visit to India. Recently the entire proceedings of RCOM AGM which lasted nearly four hours, were streamed live on the Reliance Mobile World across the nation.
