Sony Electronics (S) Pte Ltd, the pioneer in optical storage devices today introduced its latest External Memory Card Reader - MRW62E-S2. The new model is targeted primarily at home, SOHO and Professionals who have a variety of memory cards to read at various locations. With USB 2.0 interface and no additional power required the new card reader is one of the easiest to use.
Introducing the new card, Mr. Edmund Tan, Assistant Manager– Sales and Marketing for Computer Peripherals products in Applications & Devices Marketing (Singapore) (a division company of Sony Electronics (S) Pte Ltd), said, “Today when most of the users use one or the other type of memory card, it becomes vital to introduce an external card reader that can be carried and used easily anywhere”.
The new external model can read the following popular types of cards that include, Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick PRO, Memory Stick PRO Duo, Memory Stick Micro, CompactFlash, Microdrive, SmartMedia, xD-Picture Card, SD Memory Card, mini SD Card, Multi Media Card and RS-MNC.
Elaborating about the new model, Mr. Kapal Pansari, Director – Rashi Peripherals Pvt. Ltd. said, “Today Indian users largely preferring smart phones and digital cameras over any other devices/gadgets and to get maximum they need extra storage which the various cards are able to suffice. The suggested retail price for MRW62E-S2 is Rs 700 and is available in silver colour keeping with trend of coloured laptops and Desktop PCs.
