HP launches new Laserjet range to fuel the growth of business printing in India

Hewlett Packard, the market leader in the imaging and printing space today provided a further boost to its laser printer portfolio with the launch of two mono lasers LaserJet P1505 and HP Laserjet P1505N and two multifunction lasers - HP LaserJet M2727nf and HP Laserjet M2727nfs.

Targeted at Small and medium businesses and large environments, the price range starts from Rs.9, 999 – Rs.55, 000/-. The roll out is part of HP's revolutionary Print 2.0 strategy - an overall strategy designed to accelerate the company's ability to capture a significant portion of the 53 trillion pages forecast to be printed by 2010.

According to the latest IDC, HP is the undisputed market leader in the laser printer market with a market share of 46% in the multifunction laser market in India.

HP is optimistic about the robust economic growth in India and expects this to fuel business demand for its LaserJet printers," said Samir Shah, Director - Commercial & Enterprise Printing, Imaging and Printing Group, Hewlett-Packard India Sales Pvt. HP pioneered personal laser printing with the introduction in 1984 of the first LaserJet printer. Since then, HP LaserJet printing solutions have changed the way people conduct business, communicate in the office and market products and services.
