Samsung Electronics Co., the world's second-largest maker of mobile phones, is set for some "Soul" searching. The comany plans to start selling a new handset with a five-megapixel camera called the "Soul."
The phone is targeted at customers who appreciated the Ultra Edition D900 and U600 models, Samsung said in an e-mailed statement today. The handset has a width of 12.9 millimeters, offers features such as face detection, and allows high-speed Internet access for sharing videos or downloading songs.
The new phone will be on display at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week, and will be available to consumers in European countries starting in April, Suwon, South Korea-based Samsung said, without providing additional details. |
